So yesterday and today I got to work on the set of Mad Men with Art Streiber. Mad Men is a very cool show on AMC. Yesterday we were shooting the main cast in character just against white and the costumes were amazing. The whole show is impeccable. We shot on the paramount lot in downtown LA and had a great time. Today we were still on the same lot but shooting in the Sterling Cooper office set. It really was like walking into a different era I loved it. From the old school cigarettes and sweets to the typewriters and furniture it was all straight out of the 60s.
Today was a relativity quick day and I got a chance to make it over to Screaming Broccoli for the Julia Dean Workshop series Photographers on Photography. Tonight's guest was Tony Duran and Art Streiber the photographer I work for was moderating. Loads of Tonys work was shown and he got to speak about how he works and how he sees light and how he creates his amazing images. If you dont know Tonys work go HERE and check it out. Tony is a Hollywood Glam photographer. He takes pictures of huge celebrities and makes them look sexy and beautiful. He almost always uses natural light and maybe just a reflector to blast some light. Unlike most photographers Tony loves to shoot at Noon b/c he loves the contrast and bright striking light. Tony also shoots mostly at his house in Beverly Hills so he knows where the light is and to get the celebrities and models to feel comfortable and willing to let there inhibitions go a little! Hes constantly shooting and has become one of hollywoods best photographers.

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn cover shoot
Here is the cover for Entertainment Weekly with Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn shot by Art Streiber.
It was a crazy, tiring but fun shoot. Heidi and Tim were really fun. There is also a shot of Chris Allen in this issue which I helped out on as well. Its a great picture of Chris on the street with a billboard of himself in the background. Go buy the magazine and check it out as well as more shots from the Heidi shoot.

and also a little behind the scenes video shot by access hollywood.

Two Day Shoot at CBS
Working on a shoot at CBS studios with Art Streiber. Pretty cool place. Biggest photo set I've been on. Got there this morning to a huge empty warehouse/stage and left with a living room/kitchenette set, a rec room set, and a huge seamless set up, all lit perfectly and ready to go for tomorrow. Loads of fun setting up with all of the crew. Met some great guys who built up the rooms. I'll take a shot of the set up tomorrow to show how crazy awesome it was. Tomorrow we shoooot. I do get to sleep in though! Call time isnt till 10! Fantastic! Arts crew is always fantastic.
